Twilight in the Park
June - August: Summertime midweek music returns to Balboa Park on June 20 as Twilight in the Park kicks-off the free 32-concert series on June 20 with the Bayou Brothers toe-tapping Cajun/Zydeco music. Twilight’s live music has been delighting visitors to the Park for 26 years, and programs range from military bands and Dixieland jazz to big band swing and Latin salsa. Concerts begin on June 20 and run through August 31, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. on the stage of the majestic Spreckels Organ Pavilion.

All of the San Diego-based performance groups showcase their talents to the community free-of-charge. These entertainers convey the unique and vibrant mix of San Diego’s musical diversity¾and include the United States Navy Band on June 29, highlighting inspiring military music, the hugely popular Bi-National Mambo Orchestra with extraordinary Latin rhythms on July 11 and the Hollywood Steel Drum Band on Aug. 2 featuring the upbeat melodies of the Caribbean. The Kearny Mesa Concert Band closes Twilight in the Park on August 31.
