Our flagship restaurant since 1989, this waterfront landmark in downtown San Diego is recognized as the premier destination for seafood and San Diego bay views. Our downstairs restaurant offers casual dining, and features a comfortable oyster bar and cocktail bar, as well as a first-rate sushi bar. Cocktail Bar:
All of our restaurants, with the exception of The Little Fish Market, feature a full-service bar. Each one offers an extensive selection of beer, wine, spirits and appetizers, and is available to guests for pre-dinner seating as well as full service from our regular menu.

Oyster Bar:
The oyster bar, generally the first thing one sees upon entering, is a popular feature in each of our traditional Fish Market restaurants. This friendly and casual way to dine gives you the opportunity to interact with our oyster bar cook as well as other guests as your food is prepared before you. In addition to oyster bar specialties such as freshly shucked oysters on the half shell, garlic prawns with pasta, steamed New Zealand cockles, Dungeness crab cakes, and fresh sashimi of ahi, almost all items from our regular menu may be ordered from your counter seat at the oyster bar.

Retail Market:
Each of our restaurants features a retail seafood market. The retail case is a showpiece to guests entering the restaurant. It not only highlights the items featured on our menu, it also offers the finest selection of high-quality fresh fish and other live, fresh, smoked and frozen seafood items available for you to take home and prepare in your kitchen or on the outdoor grill. Also, from the retail market you may order almost any item off the menu to go, including large-size containers of steaming clam chowder, sushi rolls, and fresh loaves of sourdough bread. Our retail market staff has expert seafood training and knowledge, and is there to assist you and answer your questions about seafood selection, handling and preparation. The retail markets are generally open one hour before the restaurant opens for lunch.

Sushi Bar:
We feature a sushi bar at three of our restaurants – Phoenix, San Diego and San Jose. Many traditional and unique items may be offered, such as Spicy Sunset Roll and Softshell Crab Roll. Like all the fish in our restaurants, the sushi bar also offers the “freshest of the fresh”, and our talented chefs will impress everyone from the sushi novice to the connoisseur.

Top of the Market:
Three of our locations feature Top of the Market, a separate upstairs restaurant where guests can enjoy an expanded wine list, distinctive desserts and additional seafood specialties, which may include Fresh Rosemary Capalini with Maine Lobster in Champagne Cream Sauce, or Peppered Fresh Eastern Sea Scallops with Shitake Mushroom Sauce. You may also choose from a selection of non-seafood entrees such as rack of lamb and filet mignon. Seating is available at the counter, bar and dining room. The intimate, elegant setting is enhanced by exhibition-style food preparation and superior service.
